Broadwick opens new performance space

25 June 2019

FESTIVAL PROMOTER Broadwick Live’s venue operating division  Broadwick  Venues is expanding its portfolio outside of London with the opening of Depot Mayfield (cap. 10,000) in Manchester.

Located on the site of a derelict former railway station, the new venue, which opens in August with Manchester Pride, has been described as a “performance, community and studio space”.

The venue is expected to be in use for the next five years, while the 30-acre Mayfield site undergoes more than £1 billion of regeneration.

“We will be working with a range of promoters in the music, arts and culture space – starting with Manchester International Festival and Pride,” says Broadwick Live MD Bradley Thompson.

Other Broadwick Venues properties include Exhibition (3,000), Printworks (5,000) and Drumsheds (10,000), all in London.
