Fake Justin Timberlake tour offered to promoters

5 December 2017

AN EMAIL falsely purporting to be from Solo Agency’s John Giddings and offering Justin Timberlake tour dates next year has being sent to promoters across Europe.

The email invites promoters to send an offer for dates between 1-29 May. A number of those who have replied to the email have been sent rider requests.

Giddings, who has represented Timberlake on behalf of Live Nation Entertainment, for the last seven years, including his last two tours, says hundreds of promoters have been contacted by the scammer.

“People who don’t know me might fall for it,” he tells LIVE UK. “They need to be aware, as I’m getting bored of telling people it’s not me.”

The email says the travelling party of 32 will need hotels and transport and asks promoters to make an offer. It is thought that anyone gullible enough to respond would then be asked for a deposit.

The sender of the emails failed to respond when contacted by LIVE UK.
