THE TEAM behind Manchester grassroots venue Jimmy’s (cap. 150) has opened a sister venue in Liverpool.
Owners and brothers Jimmy and George Craig opened the Bold Street property this month with a hometown show by The Coral.
The three-floor building is four times the size of its Manchester counterpart, with a 250-capacity live room, ground floor bar and first floor restaurant.
“One of the reasons behind opening Jimmy’s Liverpool is that there’s not many places you can go and listen to quality rock and roll music from the ‘50s up until now,” says George Graig.
The venue has upcoming shows from Strange Cages, Argh Kid and The Howlers.
The Manchester Jimmy’s, which opened in 2016, has hosted shows by artistes such as The 1975 and Tom Grennan.
