THE MUSIC Managers Forum (MMF) has announced the winners of its Accelerator programme, run in partnership with YouTube Music.

Twelve-month grants of up to £15,000 were made available (see LIVE UK 226) for music managers and 24 winners have been awarded.

They include Callum Reece of Wommat Management, Rachel Millar (Rachel Millar Management), Rian Zoll-Khan (RNR Management), Christopher Hunte (Forbidden Artists) and Jen Long (Take Care Management).

“More so than ever, music managers play a linchpin role in the careers of artistes, songwriters, producers and musicians, and our aim is for Accelerator to empower their businesses and make a significant and lasting impact,” says MMF general manager Fiona McGugan.

The programme, which is also supported by the Arts Council England and the Scottish Music Industry Association, was launched last October.

MMF says it is the first ever independent funding and professional development initiative designed solely for artiste, songwriter and producer managers.

Azi Eftekhari, head of YouTube Music Partnerships, UK and Ireland, says, “These 24 individuals represent some of the most exciting next wave of management industry, and we look forward to seeing how they use these funds to improve and evolve their business here in the UK.”
