ATC Live, London

Your artiste roster: Admiral Fallow, Beverly, Catholic Action, Estrons, Fazerdaze, Hannah Peel, Lewis Watson, LUCIA, Lucy Spraggan, Mozes & The Firstborn, Partner, Sad13, Sleeper, SuperGlu, The Lottery Winners, The Mavericks, The Veils, We Are Scientists

Favourite venues for seeing and/or showcasing new artistes:  St Pancras Old Church, London, Prinzenbar, Hamburg, Germany. The Lexington, London, King Tuts, Glasgow, Paradiso, Amsterdam, The Hope & Ruin, Brighton.

How important is it for artistes to play live: “Building, maintaining and growing a ‘real’ audience away from online, increasing revenue, press coverage outside of album reviews, developing performance levels, trying new things as an artiste, all of these things don’t happen
without playing live.”

Other emerging acts to watch: Whenyoung, Lion, Be Charlotte, Tirzah, Stella Donnelly

Greatest lesson learned: “You work for your artistes, without them you wouldn’t have a job.”

Worst live experience: “I had an act travel from the US to perform at Glastonbury on the Leftfield stage on a relatively small fee. At late notice, during the height of Corbynmania, it was scheduled that they would perform after his ‘secret set’ on that stage, it overran massively and a tent overflowing with people rapidly emptied and the clashes with other acts meant they played to a handful of people.”

Current live music projects:  LUCIA, Sleeper, The Mavericks, Estrons, Lucy Spraggan
