Chaos and Bedlam Management & Consultancy, London

Your artiste roster: TOVA, Samana, Killjoys

Favourite venues for seeing and/or showcasing new artistes: Camden Assembly, London, Sebright Arms & Old Blue Last, London and Prince Albert, Brighton.

How important is it for artistes to play live: Massively important, this is where the artist/band showcase who they are creatively and give their fans a musical, visual and physically engaging experience, whether it be singing along with other people, dancing or screaming and shouting in a mosh pit! Live is all about the experience, getting folks off social media and having human contact.

Other emerging acts to watch: The beautiful Cortney Dixon (Managed by Diane Wagg).

Greatest lesson learned: Know the agreement – more grass roots but make sure your promoter works at promoting the gig as is expected by the band.

Worst live experience: A show in Toronto and at soundcheck the guitarist pedals are blown through the difference in voltage – all insured but had to do a rush around to get a replacement. Seen showcases where there’s no audience – lesson, if you’re going abroad to showcase, plan it, don’t waste the opportunity, only go when it’s the right time in your career.

Current live music projects: TOVA – UK Tour (October), Samana – UK & European Tour (October/November), Killjoys – Wales Show (October).
