Building emerging careers - ATC Management, London

Artiste roster:

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Half Moon Run, Valeras

Favourite venues for showcasing/playing:

The Lexington, The Black Heart, Birthdays, all London and Green Door Store in Brighton.

Importance of playing live:

“It is crucial for bands, especially to develop live not only to hone their songwriting but learn who their audience is and build their fan-base. There are too many examples of artistes getting exposed to the industry too early, before they have developed their live show, and this can be a big hindrance further down the line. It is the biggest part of an artiste’s journey in my opinion.”

Other emerging acts to watch:

Yonaka, Ecca Vandal, Demob Happy

Greatest lesson learned:

“In management, to always follow your artiste’s vision. Be confident to advise against something if you don’t agree, but ultimately the final decision rests with them and is generally the best for the project.”

Worst live experience:

“Agreeing to book a band’s London headline show on bonfire night.”

Current live projects:

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes
