Midas gunning for Battle Proms

SUFFOLK-BASED event power providers Midas has won a contract from technical production company Symphotech to provide power to all five of the 9,000-capacity Battle Proms events, staged at Blenheim Palace, Burghley House, Hatfield House, Highclere Castle and Ragley Hall.

The event sees the 60-piece New English Concert Orchestra play Beethoven’s Battle Symphony as the composer intended, with 193 cannons, muskets and fireworks.

“Our ongoing investment in highest quality machines, transport and people has enabled us to win this contract in peak season, July and August,” says Dave Noble, MD at Midas, which works with Symphotech at events including Jockey Club Live (various caps. up to 10,000).
