MJR to operate Digbeth venue

4 March 2018
The Digbeth Arena

VENUE MANAGEMENT company and promoter The MJR Group has taken over as operators of Birmingham’s Rainbow Arena (cap.5,000) in Digbeth, which is being renamed The Digbeth Arena.

Since opening in 2012 the venue, a former scaffolding yard run by The Rainbow Venues, has hosted numerous events including MADE Festival and Chapter Festival.

MJR has already announced Swingamajig Festival will be held at the venue in May, featuring artistes such as Texas, Imelda May and James Arthur.

“We recognise the dedicated and inspirational work Rainbow Venues have put into their venues and Digbeth as a whole,” says MJR’s Benjamin Newby. “We will work hard to continue their passion while adding our own vision and operational standards to the arena.”

The Rainbow Venues, now renamed The Rainbow Events, has moved away from venue operation to focus on promoting.
