MMF and YouTube launch Accelerator

22 October 2019

THE MUSIC Managers Form (MMF) and YouTube have opened applications for the 2020 Accelerator programme, with backing from Arts Council England and the Scottish Music Industries Association.

The initiative, which was launched last year, offers music managers the chance to win 12 months funding of up to £15,000, 100+ hours of professional mentoring, training and masterclasses, plus a travel bursary for a professional music conference in Europe.

The programme is open to managers in full- or part-time employment who are looking to go full-time in music management with their own company.

Since last January, the 24 Accelerator participants have increased the number of artiste/writer/producer clients they represent by over 20 per cent – from 44 to 54.

“It’s been fantastic watching the managers get so much out of the course, and to see them and their artistes flourish,” says YouTube Music artiste partnerships manager Roz Mansfield.

“YouTube Music is committed to helping the industry as a whole grow and thrive. We wish these managers all the best in their future careers and hope they come back to share their experiences with future Accelerators.”

Applications for Accelerator 2020 close at midnight on 25 October.
