REALLY USEFUL Theatres Group (RUT) has appointed Mike Hamer as the new venue manager for its flagship London Palladium (cap. 2,273).

Hamer joins the company after 11 years at Camden’s KOKO (1,410), where he was operations manager. As well as his background in venues, he has also been involved in Glastonbury (140,000) and V Festival (87,000).

“Mike is bringing a wealth of experience at an exciting time for the venue,” says RUT’s MD Rebecca Kane Burton.

Upcoming shows at the venue feature Morrissey, Paul Carrack, Jake Bugg, Gary Barlow, King Crimson and Yes.
