Numbers boost for supplier awards

Infrastructure News

THE FESTIVAL Supplier Awards at London’s Hurlingham Club look likely to attract even more outdoor event professionals, with about 380 already set to attend the 25 January event.

Organiser Michelle Tayton believes the awards, hosted by former BBC Radio 1 presenter Edith Bowman and judged by a panel including Lynsey Wollaston of IMG Arts & Entertainment, Jon Drake of Ground Control, Chris Johnson of Shambala (cap. 15,000) and Tony Wheeler of Nine Yards, recognise best practice in the festival production sector and demonstrate its buoyancy as it enters the 2018 season.

“This is the only awards show that solely recognises festival and outdoor event suppliers,” says Tayton. “The sector is gaining greater credibility every year and winning an award becomes more important.”

Categories include Best Temporary Structure, Best Crowd Management and Best Festival Production while last year’s winners include Lion Trackhire, Star Events and Enteetainment.
