Omeara to get sister venue in Kings Cross

22 October 2019

MUMFORD & SONS band member Ben Lovett is to open a second live music venue in London.

The 600-capacity Lafayette, will be located on Goods Way in Kings Cross, adjacent to arts university Central Saint Martins and set to open in February.

Lovett already owns the 350-capacity Omeara at London Bridge.

“I’m forever committed to pushing forward a new era of music venues that truly elevate people’s expectations of what that experience should be,” says Lovett.

“I believe London ought to continually strive to be at the forefront of the entertainment industry on a global stage, as the best city in the world.”

The venue will be booked by Communion, the same team that programmes live shows and club nights for Omeara.

Omeara, opened in 2016 and has played host to artistes including Clean Bandit, Laura Marling and Sam Fender.
