AFTER SHOWING early promise as a karate competitor, including winning double gold at the junior world championships in Japan, Anne-Marie is dedicating her time to her singing career.
The Essex-born 26-year-old has featured on singles by artistes including Rudimental, Wretch 32 and Nick Jones, as well as Clean Bandit’s Rockabye, which spent nine consecutive weeks at No 1 in the singles chart.
Having supported Ed Sheeran on his UK and Ireland tour last year and released singles Ciao Adios and Heavy, Anne-Marie is expected to release her debut album in the spring.
Following on from performances at British Summer Time (cap. 65,000) and V Festival (87,000) last year, she starts a European tour in March, playing venues such as London’s Roundhouse (3,100), Norway’s Rockerfeller (1,350) Oslo and Denmark’s Vega (1,500) in Copenhagen.
“Anne-Marie is one of the best performers out there, which makes me life a lot easier because when she’s on stage you know she’s going to deliver,” says manager Jazmin Sherman at Rocket Management in London. “Once you see her live you know she’s the real deal.”
Anne-Marie’s agent is Jon Ollier at CAA.
