Kick-off was with two shows by K-Pop act BTS on 1 and 2 June – the first South Korean group to headline the venue, with The Who’s show on 6 July bringing the run to a close. In total, the concerts drew around 900,000 people.

In June alone, Spice Girls played three dates to a combined audience of 240,000, Fleetwood Mac played two shows and Bon Jovi, Billy Joel and the Eagles did one each.

“We are privileged to have hosted such a diverse set of artistes and to have welcomed hundreds of thousands of fans into the national stadium,” says Wembley’s senior commercial manager for concerts James Taylor.
