YouTube links videos to concert tickets

6 December 2019

YOUTUBE HAS partnered with See Tickets, Ticketmaster and Eventbite to help music fans discover concerts and buy tickets through the video platform.

People in the UK and Ireland watching videos from Official Artists Channels will now see listings for live performances, alongside links to the ticketing partners’ website.

“At YouTube, we are focussed on both making music more accessible to fans and bringing more revenue to artistes on the platform,” says Roz Mansfield, YouTube’s artiste partnerships manager, UK and Ireland.

“We hope this new feature helps connect fans with not only the global artists they love, but also will give them a chance to discover more intimate events with breakthrough local talent.”

Paul Everett, head of music at Eventbrite UK and Ireland, says: “YouTube is a fantastic addition to our growing list of global distribution partners. This latest partnership represents an incredible opportunity for our independent organisers across the UK and Ireland, enabling them to integrate their events on our platform with their Youtube artiste profiles.”

The new feature first launched with Ticketmaster in the US and has since expanded with Evenbrite and rolled out across Canada, Australia and New Zealand. See Tickets is the newest addition to the partnerships.
